About The Department of Pediatric Neurosurgery

The Pediatric Neurosurgery Unit is located at the Mother and Child Center in Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital. The department is coordinating the management of children, who are candidates for brain and spinal cord surgery, including brain tumors, hydrocephalus, craniosynostosis, congenital defects, epilepsy surgery, vascular malformations, head injury, etc.

The diagnostic and treatment approach of children, who need neurosurgical intervention, is multidisciplinary and includes the involvement of physicians from other fields (such as intensive care doctors, neurologists, oncologists, radiologists and so on) as well as Para-medical professionals, who contribute to the assessment and treatment of these kids (physical therapists, occupational therapists, social workers and so on).
