Hadassah University Hospital at Ein Kerem has recently opened a new Center for COPD. COPD, which stands for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, is a chronic condition, most commonly caused by smoking.
This center is the first of its kind in Israel, and it offers COPD patients the most advanced methods for diagnosis and treatment of this condition. Every patient has an individual treatment plan, suited to fit his/her needs. Our goal is to improve the health and quality of life of our patients.
The center takes a multidisciplinary approach towards treatment. This approach encompasses treatment and care of physical, emotional, familial, and nutritional problems resulted from the damages caused by smoking and COPD. Additionally, the center also helps with smoking rehabilitation.
