Born in Jerusalem, Israel, 1960. Married + 2.
Fighter pilot in the Israeli Air Force. Military rank - Major.
Currently, a flight instructor in the Israeli Air-Force Academy (reserve)
1993: MD degree from The Hebrew University Medical School - Hadassah Medical Center, Jerusalem, Israel.
1997 – 1998 : Research Fellowship. Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Cleveland, OH, USA
Specialist: Diseases of Otolaryngology & Head and neck Surgery since 2000.
Residency at The Department of Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgey, Hadassah, Jerusalem
Clinical and Academic Interests
1. Treatment and rehabilitation of upper airway (larynx, trachea) obstruction
2. Treatment of nose and sinus diseases
3. Endoscopic surgery for diagnosis and treatment of nasal/sinus/upper airway pathologies
4. Endoscopic surgery of the anterior skull base and paranasal sinuses with the aid of an image guided navigation system
5. Treatment of pediatric ENT problems
Research Activities
1. Invasive and non-invasive treatment of upper airway obstruction
2. Tracheal transplantation
3. The role of free radicals in upper airway pathologies, chronic sinusitis and nasal polyposis
4. Cochlear and vestibular ototoxicity
