The Wye River Project is an ongoing forum led by a triumvirate of Israeli, American, and Palestinian Emergency Medicine Physicians. The goal: improve emergency medicine in Israel and the Palestinian Authority through an exchange of fellows, workshops, and scientific meetings. The US State Department funds the ongoing programs of the Wye River Project, in the belief that cooperation between emergency medicine physicians will help to build a bridge towards peace in the region.

 

Israeli Leader and Conference Cochairman, Wye Peace Through Health Partnership “Training the Trainers” A leader in planning and conducting 15 conferences, to prepare 50 Emergency Medicine physicians and nurses from Hadassah, Augusta Victoria and other medical centers throughout Israel and the Palestinian Authority as trainers of other ED professionals in Emergency Medicine skills, toxicology, and domestic violence. These professionals have gone on to train 400 other health care professionals and students.
