The Department performs a wide range of vascular surgical procedures, including:
§ Endarterecotomy of the carotid arteries;
§ Repair of aneurysms of the aorta and peripheral arteries;
§ Aortic and vascular bypass surgery on the extremities;
§ Bypass surgery between the aorta and renal arteries;
§ Bypass surgery between the aorta and the intestinal and liver arteries;
§ Bypass surgery in cases of portal hypertension;
§ Vein surgery for kidney transplants and preparatory surgery for hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis;
§ Removal of vascular tumors and removal of invasive vascular tumors.
The department also performs invasive radiology treatments: thrombolitic treatment and dissolving vascular blood clots, and inserting endovascular stents and implants.
