The Pediatric Surgery Department is situated in the Children's Hospital wing in Hadassah Ein-Karem with an active unit in Hadassah Mount Scopus.  The department offers its surgical and consulting services from prenatal consultations on congenital anomalies to all surgical problems up to the age of 16 years. 

The range of expertise is very wide and includes:

§         Simple hernias

§         Undescendent testis

§         Constipation evaluation and treatment

§         Treatment of atresia of the esophagus and bowel

§         Imperforate anus

§         Biliary atresia

§         Lung surgery, etc.

There is a unique experience in advanced laparoscopic and thoracoscopic surgery (minimal invasive surgery).  Among others:

§         Laparoscopic Nissen fundoplication for gastroesophageal reflux

§         Laparoscopic splenectomy

§         Laparoscopic adrenalectomy

§         Thoracoscopic sympathectomy for excessive sweating, etc.
