On an outpatient basis, the department can handle diagnosis and treatment in all areas of endocrinology including diabetes, disorders of the thyroid, pituitary, and adrenal glands and the genitals (male and female). The service includes endocrinology for children suffering from developmental and growth disorders typical in young children. There is also an endocrine hospitalization framework to enable more thorough diagnosis and treatment of these illnesses. Dynamic endocrine tests are conducted on an outpatient basis, including thyroid needle biopsies.
