The clinic handles initial processing of cancer patients referred to the Institute of Oncology for determining the stage of the illness and deciding on treatment; monitoring patients who are being treated for an active cancer; monitoring inactive patients; reprocessing and if necessary scheduling treatment upon detecting a recurrence of the illness; providing counseling, recommendations and supervision for high-risk individuals.
