A Golden Eagle (Aquila chrysaetos) from the Jerusalem Biblical Zoo was successfully treated for Cataract at Hadassah last night.
The bird has already lost one eye due to an injury, and recently was diagnosed with Cataract in her other eye.
Dr. Michael Halpert (first on the left), senior physician in the Ophthalmology Department performed the successful treatment, using laser equipment, and saved the Eagle's sight.
